Blondell, Miller & Schuler – Holiday Help For Houston

By Mark Miller

May 28, 2020

In the holiday tradition of giving, we at Blondell, Miller & Schuler are gathering a care package for a family in Houston devastated by Hurricane Harvey. This family had its home completely wiped out from the storm, had no flood insurance and received very little aide from the federal government. They left their home with only that which they could carry, spent three months in a Motel 6, and just moved into a used trailer.

We connected to the family through a friend from college who also lost his home and saw his parents lose theirs, but is financially fortunate enough. He and his wife are generous enough to help this family despite their own losses.

Our family consists of two adult women and their four children, a 17 year old boy, a 16 year old boy, a 15 year old girl and a 10 year old girl.

We are inquiring about specific needs and wants, but we know that gift cards are going to come in handy. Cash is welcome as well. Chain restaurants are good as they have been living without a kitchen for some time. Be careful to make sure the chain exists Houston. Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel, Chili’s and Applebee’s are all safe bets. Macy’s, WalMart, and Bed Bath & Beyond are all also suggested.

Our care package will ship out Christmas week. Donations can be mailed or dropped to the office. Checks made out to Blondell, Miller & Schuler, with “Harvey” in the memo will be collected and forwarded on to our family. 628 Eastern Blvd Baltimore, MD 21221.

Please help us make the holidays special for a family that has lost so much.

Thanks,
Mark, Todd, and all of us at
